Authentic Japanese food served in a cozy atmosphere. It feels like I’m back in Japan.🥹We went there after 11 AM for Japanese breakfast, but unfortunately, their fryer had broken. They told us about it, and we were okay to wait. It was definitely worth it! Their food & service were great! We ordered mix katsu & Ten Jyu bowl, and it was "Totemo oishikattadesu." We will be back for sure to try other food.

Been meaning to try this place for a while and it was definitely worth checking out. The sushi tasted really fresh, and the ramen had a rich broth that hit the spot. Portions were decent and everything looked nicely presented without feeling too fancy. Service was polite and quick, even during the dinner rush. Only thing I'd say is the prices are a little higher than some other Japanese spots nearby, but the quality makes up for it. Overall a chill place for dinner, and I'd come back to try more of the menu.

Very satisfying lunch. I wanted something filling and the special combo didn't disappoint. I got the pork cutlet combo and it came fully loaded with hot soba, salad, handroll and rice; the pork was crispy and tender. Also got the scorched natto roll, very good with a bit of hot sauce

I’ve been coming here for ten years and it never gets old. The Japanese breakfast combo is what keeps me coming back — miso soup, Japanese-style egg, and tofu all done beautifully. The Spanish mackerel is excellent, and so is the salmon. The Japanese umami over rice is also a standout — deeply satisfying in that way only good Japanese comfort food can be. The atmosphere is serene and lovely. The sakura display on the screen is almost hypnotic — it sets a calming, peaceful mood that makes the whole meal feel like a little escape. A true hidden gem in Torrance for anyone who loves authentic Japanese breakfast. One of my favorite spots in LA.

Does this place feature a wall of foliage with neon lights you can take a picture for the gram on? Check✓ But don't dismiss this place for its exterior. I thought everything tasted pretty good. Pork katsu was a crispy breaded crust, and might have risked being overly dry, but it was a thick cut, and the curry balanced it out. Would love to come back and try their other items.

Upon walking in to the restaurant you find yourself looking at a greeting desk. No one was there but staff was prompt with answering the door. As you walk through the dining area you find yourself looking at Japanese decorations, displays of walk abouts and upbeat music. The setup of the restaurant makes you feel warm and welcomed however once I sat on my seat I noticed some of the walls could use a bit of a clean up. The staff is gentle and prompt with serving your beverage. The menu had excellent options between breakfast anytime and dinner items. The service was precise with refills and presenting the meals on a timely fashion. The staff is dressed well and shows their compassion for their service by keeping guests checked in for any concerns or thoughts. This is a fantastic place to eat alone or a date/friend.

I had some great vegetarian udon at Fukagawa. The noodles were thick and delicious. They have an extensive Japanese menu. I will be coming back.
- Paul T. (a year ago):
This is the first time I visited this Japanese restaurant. Unexpectedly, there were a lot of customers during lunch time. Due to the obvious lack of staff, I had to wait for a long time to place my order. There are many food choices, mainly serving various Japanese set meals, such as curry, tempura, and soba noodles. The portions of food are sufficient. A normal person can definitely eat enough. As for the taste, frankly speaking, it is just average by my standards. For example, my tempura was not crispy, and the batter was too thick. Compared to the Japanese-style western restaurant not far away, which is managed by Japanese, there is a clear difference in the standard between the two.
